Today in Interstate History
December 14, 1973Arizona opened its section of I-15, which is the fourth longest north-south transcontinental Interstate highway, in the northwest corner of the state. While Arizona's small portion of that route does not have any major exits or junctions, it is prominent nonetheless for the surrounding scenery of the picturesque Virgin River Gorge. |
