Reaching the Peak: Cheyenne, WY – June 20

Wyoming held a lunch, a dinner, and a symposium on the "Past, Present and Future of Transportation." Governor Dave Freudenthal, the Wyoming congressional delegation, and other legislators were invited to attend.

On leaving Cheyenne, a delegation left the main convoy and travel to Abilene, Kansas to visit the Dwight D. Eisenhower Library and Museum. This "swing route" delegation will also make stops in Denver and Kansas City before rejoining the main convoy in Iowa on the 23rd.

Tuesday, June 20

7:00 am Eisenhower Library Delegation Departs for Denver, CO (101 miles)
8:00 am Main Convoy Departs for Omaha, NE (502 miles)

The main convoy stopped at 12:30 pm at the North Platte weigh scales area near mile marker 179 in Nebraska for a cookout and welcome program.
