Tailgate with the Commissioner: Omaha, NE – June 21-22

The convoy arrived in Omaha on the evening of June 21. The next morning, Werner Enterprises, the third largest trucking company in the country and which is also celebrating its 50^th anniversary, hosted a breakfast and news conference. The theme for this event was "Celebrate the Interstate – A Moving Experience." After breakfast, a press conference featuring Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman and other state and local officials was held in the trucking museum at Werner headquarters. Afterwards, convoy participants were offered an Ollie the Trolley tour of interesting points in the city sponsored by AAA Nebraska. Since Omaha was also hosting the NCAA College World Series at this time, that afternoon visitors to the city were invited to join in a Tailgate Party hosted by Joe Cahn, The Commissioner of Tailgating, where the Innovative Mobility Showcase was on display.

The convoy departed for Iowa on the morning of Friday, June 23.
